Who We Are
Emanuel Church was founded in 1999 on Coronel Lucas de Oliveira Street in Alvorada/RS, through the ministry of founding pastors Renato Cardoso da Luz and Regina Mustafa. In 2001 it moved to Santa Bárbara Street, 36, where it stands today to serve the Church of Christ.
Our History
Coming from a faith heritage of Igreja Batista Filadélfia, the founding pastors had a missionary calling reflected in their longing for evangelism and winning souls for Jesus. The desire to see lives transformed by the same Gospel that transformed them led them to the challenge of answering their calling in the Kingdom of God — and so I.M.E, Igreja Missionária Emanuel, was born. Over more than 20 years of history dedicated to evangelism, Bible teaching, pastoral care, social action and worship, growth hubs were opened in Viamão, Vale Real and Alvorada. In 2021, Pastor Renato promoted William dos Santos Viegas to vice-presidency, indicating him for the succession process alongside his wife Renata Mustafa Viegas.
